Tips for a Successful Application
It is necessary that documents sent in be copies as we will not be able to return any of them. Should you have any difficulties obtaining any documents, you should contact the Apprentice Coordinator’s Office prior to the deadline for submission. Failure to turn documents in on time will terminate your application.
Scan Your Documents
Legible documents are extremely important to having your application verified and accepted. We will reject any documents that we cannot verify. For that reason, we recommend scanning your documents:
Use a dedicated mobile app paired with your smartphone camera (recommended). Some free applications we recommend include*:
Android: Adobe Scan, Scanbot, Microsoft Office Lens
Go to your local library or a nearby copy/print center
Reduce the File Size for PDF/Images
Due to storage constraints, we limit our uploads to 5 MB or less per document. If your document exceeds this, you can use one of the following tools*:
PDF compression tool: https://smallpdf.com/compress-pdf
Image (JPG, JPEG, PNG) compression tool: https://tinypng.com/
Image/PDF Rotation
Reference Letter Template
Please use the reference letter template below when soliciting references used for your application.
